We are simple people of simple means. We love God, family,
country, and our dogs. We have owned dogs of other breeds,
from yorkies to dobermans, and never have we had such
positive experiences with our dogs over and over again as we
do with our AB's. Affectionate, watchful, humorous,
athletic... Since having Bella, we knew the AB would be the
only breed for us. Never before has a dog been so much a
part of our family and had such an impact on each of us
individually.
We have long term goals which include titling through quite
possibly conformation, and also competition such as Utility
Catch Dog and possibly Protection Sport. We also have long
term goals for breeding our dogs. We are interested in
continuing the strong traditional lines going back into the
Ol' Southern Whites. Lines made more popular in recent
times by "Cowboy", or Joshua's Sand Valley Sam, the first
male AB to be certified OFA "excellent". He has produced
several consecutive generations of OFA "excellent" dogs, both
male and female.
We are conflicted on one level. While we feel everyone should
have an AB, we don't want to see their popularity increase to
the point the breed is exploited by puppy millers, subjected to
poor breeding practices without concern for the health or
temperament of the dog, and worse. Dog fighters are still
around, a sad chapter in history that should have ended
long ago. Because of the actions of a small percentage of
individuals, an entire breed may become persecuted, for
example, the Pit Bull.
Our philosophy, and principals guiding the decisions we will
make concerning the eventual breeding of our dogs are
these: We will breed quality to quality. Quality and
soundness of health, structure, conformation, and
temperament. Before anything else the dog is a family
member. Ribbons and titles are cool, but there is no
substitute for a good dog, being able to go home at the end of
the day and dogs, kids, and baby are all on the floor
playing.
Lily was bred to "Moose" of Big Rig American Bulldogs
Christmas '07. We chose to keep a female, "Remi", from the
litter, and also added "Judge", from Big Rig. Please keep
checking back. We update regularly.
Good night and God bless.
